Bach Woodrow, who goes by Woody, is a West Palm Beach-based Chief Engineer whose career combines maritime engineering, international travel, technical responsibility, and a lifelong connection to the water. Originally from Savannah, Georgia, Woody moved to Wellington, Florida, with his family in 2003. His introduction to the maritime world began early. His parents met while working aboard sailboats and traveling internationally, and his father continued building a career as a consultant, manager, and refit specialist for large private motor yachts.

At Wellington High School, Woody distinguished himself both academically and athletically. He graduated in 2009 in the top one percent of his class while participating in the school’s successful men’s soccer program and varsity men’s volleyball team. He also played competitive travel soccer for Wellington Wave.

Woody continued his education at the University of Florida in Gainesville, studying Business Administration with a minor in Sports Management. After completing his undergraduate education in 2013, he decided to follow the maritime path that had been part of his family for years.

Over the following 13 years, Woody developed his career as a maritime engineer aboard private motor yachts. His work has taken him throughout the United States, Caribbean, and Europe and required him to adapt to different environments while developing the technical knowledge, patience, and decision-making skills necessary for life at sea. He eventually advanced to Chief Engineer and has spent the past two years serving in that capacity aboard a 168-foot motor yacht.

Woody believes patience, accountability, clear communication, and remaining calm under pressure are essential qualities in both professional and personal life. Spending extended periods abroad has also taught him to be adaptable and proactive when challenges arise.

When home in South Florida, Woody enjoys golfing, boating, and spending time with family and friends. He has also assisted with residential remodeling and commercial construction projects. Looking ahead, he plans to continue developing his career in yachting while maintaining the relationships, curiosity, and connection to the water that have shaped his life.
